HOW IT WORKS
- People
having ongoing problems contact ESCM and give a brief outline of the
problem.
- We will
tell you whether the problem looks as if it can be mediated.
- If we
think we can help, two mediators will visit you to hear your
concerns
- They will
then visit the other household to hear their concerns.
- Everything
the mediators are told is strictly confidential unless they are given
permission for something to be revealed.
- Our
mediators will then ask the parties to consider having a joint meeting at a
neutral venue with the mediators and each other. The problems are discussed
frankly in a supportive environment, the mediators managing the meeting and
ensuring everyone has their say.
- Mediators
do not take sides, give advice or make suggestions but use their experience to
help everyone work together to find a genuinely workable
solution.
- You are
under no obligation to continue and can opt out at any time.
